Psalm 27:1 “The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?
the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid.” This is not a wishful thinking or mere confession to boost your faith; but a declaration based on the knowledge of God – who is The Light, and the source and power of divine illumination. King David who wrote this song, had once; without a weapon killed a lion and challenged a well-equipped army with a sling. He obviously knew what he was talking about. During good and bad times, Experiential knowledge makes a lot of difference. David was literarily saying; I know the LORD is my light. He is the source of strength and salvation needed for victory over adversity, and for protection in times of peace.

Jesus said, “As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” John 9:5 (KJV) He is the same LORD who is the light and salvation of everyone. “for God makes his sun (the light of the world) to rise on the evil and on the good and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. Matthew 5:45 God does not discriminate. Jesus was born to save all people from sin and Satan. We can count on Him. “…the light which shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. “John 1:5 (KJV) Jesus Christ is the source and strength of divine light that can see you through tough times and beyond. You only need to believe.

So, in the face of pandemic crisis, we can declare loud and clear that Jesus is the light of the world. He is “… the true Light, which lighted every man that cometh into the world. John 1:9 (KJV) He is still shining today – to heal and save your body, soul and spirit. Try Jesus today.  He said, “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” Luke 10:19 This is the authority which cannot be locked down by any pandemic disease. Our text continued “Though an army may encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; Though war may rise against me, in this I will be confident. Psalm 27:3 That the LORD is indeed my light and my salvation. He is abundantly able to save today. Therefore, put off your fears and put on faith in Jesus – the light of the world. Wherever you are, be inspired, pray for yourself, and intercede in prayer for others. God will surely intervene. (KJV)

Christianity, with the spirit of revival, is our mission at Cry for revival Gospel Ministry. To keep believers in consciousness of the power and presence of God. We serve a living God, and we must react to God and the world as such. This is the reason Jesus said that the Holy Spirit will, remind you of the word of God, reveal to you the will of God, replenish and empower your faith. It worked for King David when he said “The LORD is my light…” Jesus is the same, yesterday, today and forever; Just believe and you will see the glory of God. God bless you.
