Personal Encounter with Jesus Part 5
The Acts of True Worshiper
Cry for revival prayer – May 20, 2020

The life and Ministry of Jesus Christ exemplify “The Acts of True Worshiper” He is the perfect example of how you serve God in Spirit and in truth. The Holy Spirit is the living water, John 7:38-39 and the truth is the word of God. John 3:21 Christ represent everything to us – He is the way to God, the truth of His word, and His life in the flesh. John 14:6 The springing up or the flow of the Living water, through your life, is how you worship God in Spirit and truth. True worship is more than an event, it is a whole life behavior.  The Lord Himself, demonstrated true worship with His words, actions, and reactions during His temptation- indeed He gave his life to save man from sin.

The first temptation: The devil came to Jesus and said, if thou be the Son of God, turn these stones to bread. Jesus respond, it is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeded out of the mouth of God.  The written word of God, the Bible, is the word of life – Jesus attested to this. A true worshiper, therefore, must know the Lord, His word and perform it. It is your essential life to read, study, believe and obey the word of God. The worship of God is for eternal life, more than for livelihood. Deuteronomy 32:47 You are created and transformed in Christ for God’s glory and worship. Wants and wishes of life are necessary seconds. Matthew 6:33

5 Then the devil … sets him on a pinnacle of the temple, 6 And said, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: … Jesus said again, it is written, thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. Satan threaten and tempted Jesus with self-glory and gratification. But Christ demonstrated Humility and loyalty to God. You cannot and should not tempt God, to show off power or for publicity. But always seek to obey His word and do His Will, as Jesus did.  Though we have the power of the Holy Spirit, we do not get to do and undo as we like. I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father, Jesus said. John 5:30 “Your will be done on earth as in heaven” is the prayer and character of true worshiper. For we are saved by grace and it is the gift of God. Eph 2:8

Lastly, devil said … to Jesus, all these things will I give you, if you will worship me. …Jesus said to him, get out of here, Satan:  it is written, you shall worship the Lord thy God, and serve him only. To practice true worship Jesus said, you cannot serve God and mammon. Neither should you sever him only for bread and butter.  Matthew 6:24 True worship puts God first in all things, loves Him with all your heart and your neighbor as yourself. Mark 12:29-31

The act of true worship is to be led by the Holy Spirit; live humbly and powerfully, serve God only, do His will and obey His word unto everlasting life. This is how, like Jesus, you overcome the temptation to sin or the frustration of His Grace. Gal. 2:21 Jesus performed well and gives us the power to do likewise. Acts 1:8 True worship begins by accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal savior. And if you are among millions already in Christ, let us join hands and hearts to cry for revival and be in revival mode unto everlasting life. God bless you.
