Bible Text is: John 4:20-22
20 Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship. 21 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. 22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. John 4:20-22 (KJV)
A believer’s testimony about Jesus and his word demonstrates Personal encounter with Jesus. When the Samaritan woman met Jesus, three things happened: He offered her the living water, attended to her domestic challenge, and revealed himself to her as the much-expected Messiah. John 4:26 (KJV) Consequently, the woman developed hunger and thirst for the living water; Give me to drink that I thirst no more she said. Her conversation with Jesus was practicable enough, that she believed Jesus and His word. She proceeded to witness her believe and experience with Christ the Savior.
Jesus always prioritize His teachings as we can see in this story. At the onset, He offered the woman living water and told her why; because God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. John 4:24 (KJV) Your encounter with Jesus initiates a relationship with God unto everlasting life. You become a spring of living water welling unto eternity. What could be more powerful than to be a source of life. 38 He that believeth on me, (Jesus Christ) …out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. John 7:38 (KJV)
Your material life issues, are between your encounter and everlasting life. Jesus prophetically said to the Samaritan woman; Go call your husband, she answered, I have no husband. Jesus said to her, true, you have had five husbands and currently living with a man not your husband. We have no details how the story ended. But you can be sure that no one meets Jesus and remain the same. Her sin would have been forgiven and a new life began. In times like this, you need an encounter with Jesus and a lot of good things will happen to you. Jesus will mitigate Covid-19 in your life if you can believe and call upon Him now. Peace, He said, I leave with you, my peace I give unto you…Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27 (KJV) But first, accept the living water from Jesus today. Matthew 6:33
Meeting Jesus today is just as awesome, even without seeing Him bodily. You can share the Samaritan experience right now. An encounter with Him is the birth of a spiritual new life; the only way by which you can worship God in spirit and in truth. John 3:16. Therefore, as believers, and workers in His vineyard; whatever you do in words, thought and action, you must make sure people can meet Jesus, the only way to God. He said, without me ye can do nothing. John 15:5 This is why we cry for revival in prayer because, revival is about getting people to meet Jesus and worship the only true God.
