Your thought, word and action are the ingredients of prayer. They directly impact your faith and the fruits you bear. Therefore, as Jesus did, you must align everything with the word of God, then you can effectively rule your own spirit. Jesus said, “I can of Myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me.” John 5:30  When the will of God is your priority, then God empowers your thought, word and action to accomplish his divine purpose. Pray like this Jesus said, “¹⁰ Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven” Matthew 6:10 Prayer never fails when God is at the center of your purpose in prayer, because God never fails.  ¹⁴ Is anything too hard for the LORD? Genesis 18:14 but it must be His will as in heaven. Prayer does not change the will of God, it fulfills it. ⁷ If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. John 15:7 It is a relationship with God rooted in faith, hope, and love, with prayer as the line of communication. Now let us examine these ingredients of prayer.

1. Your thought – Prayer is the architect of your thought. Therefore, a good relationship with God in prayer purifies and conditions your heart. Jesus said A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks. Luke 6:45 Jesus died and resurrected, to regenerate your heart and fill it with good treasures. “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, through the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Spirit.“ Titus 3:4-6  You can now pray to take control of your thought process, prepare, and bring out these good treasures from your heart before you speak.
2. Your Words – You can have a relationship with God only if you are on speaking terms with Him. Prayer is how you communicate with God. ³⁷ For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.” Jesus said. Matthew 12:37 Words matter. God can know you from your heart, but People will know you through your words and actions. ⁷ For as he thinks in his heart, so is he “Proverbs 23:7 Therefore, your heart and your thought must be aligned with the word and will of God. Then the abundance of your heart will be the word of God, from which you now speak. Words of grace, faith, hope, and love of God. King David prayed saying “Direct my steps by Your word, and let no iniquity have dominion over me. Psalms 119:133
3. Your Actions. The steps you take. Prayer is the behind the scene action. You hear that actions speak louder than words but both words and action proceed from the heart. King David said “I thought about my ways and turned my feet to Your testimonies. Psalms 119:59 A good relationship produces reciprocal actions and reaction. Your prayer life must prepare you for best behavior before God and people. This is the fact behind revival and the story of God’s Generals.  Remember Jesus fast and prayed before He started his ministry. He prayed while doing it, He prayed for people and miracles happened, He prayed before he left this earth on the cross, He prayed after he resurrected and right now in heaven he is making intercession(praying with groaning which cannot be uttered for you) for you and I. Romans 8:34) This is why Jesus said, it is what I see and hear from God that I do here on earth. You can only see and hear from heaven when you pray like Jesus. Your will be done, Oh God, on earth as it is in heaven. As we pray, we are inspired and empowered to act like Jesus. All we must do is believe, obey his word, and do his will through the Holy Spirit. For as many as are led, by the Holy Spirit are the sons of God. Romans 8:14 You now have the authority of sonship to act according to the will of God.

God has controversy with prayers only when your heart, word, and actions are out of tune with His word and His will. The Lord said: “Inasmuch as these people draw near with their mouths And honor Me with their lips, But have removed their hearts far from Me, And their fear toward Me is taught by the commandment of men, Isaiah 29:13 You cannot dissociate your heart from your words and action when you pray. Self-control is God in Control. God hears and answers prayer when your self-will yields to His will. This is what revival is all about – praying like Jesus “¹⁰ Your kingdom come. (Oh God) Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven. Matthew 6:10”. We can be challenged by self-depravation, sin, and Satan but, however, do not accept satanic offer of compromise, distraction, and deceit. You can repent, Resist, and be revived. You can do all things through the strength of Jesus. (You can kick addiction and satanic sedation in the name of Jesus.) Follow His example in thought, word, and Action. Try it Jesus today, turn around and accept Jesus as your lord and savior, and you shall see that the Lord is real and good. God bless you
