Rule your own spirit Part 4 – The ingredients of prayer – August 19,2020

Your thought, word and action are the ingredients of prayer. They directly impact your faith and the fruits you bear. Therefore, as Jesus did, you must align everything with the word of God, then you can effectively rule your own spirit. Jesus said, “I can of Myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me.” John 5:30 When the will of God is your priority, then God empowers your thought, word and action to accomplish his divine purpose.

Rule your own Spirit Part 3 Cry for revival prayer – August 12, 2020

Rule your own spirit. How? Jesus Christ: the author and finisher of our faith told us how. When He was hungry and thirsty, though he had the power to turn stone to bread but did not; Because he would rather obey the word of God and do His will. For publicity, Jesus could have jumped down from the pinnacle of the temple, he declined to tempt God but rather obey the word of God. And Like you and me, Jesus was tempted to trade off his Spirit for the glory of this vain world. He overcome the temptation by saying “… Away with you, Satan! For it is written, you shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve.” Matthew 4:10

Take control of your own spirit so you can be strong and victorious. There are powers such as sin and Satan seeking to invade your spirit to render weak and broken down like a city without walls. Last week we are talking about the negative impact of the flesh. When man disobeyed God, he became slave to sin. Unfortunately, no man in his flesh is immune from the rule of sin. God said sin deformed the man he created (Genesis 4:7) You recall that it was Satan who deceived the first man to disobey God. God said one thing and Satan offers the opposite. Satan always present you with sugar coated poison, He wraps evil in pleasure and deceit. Genesis 3:6

You are a spirit endowed with power from God to rule your own spirit and everything else God made Gen. 1:26 But sad to say, most people live like a city broken down without self-defense, self-respect, and self-control. Man, lost control of his spirit to sin and Satan when he disobeyed God. Romans 5:19 14 The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; the wiseman said, but a wounded spirit who can bear? Choose Life Part 3 – cry for revival prayer from cry for revival gospel ministry – July 22, 2020

Today we are concluding the series on Choose life. If you choose life as God said, then you have a life to live. The most important vital sign of life is about the whole life itself: the thought, the word, and the action which conforms to the way, the truth, and the eternal life of God in Christ Jesus. God said “it is your [very] life” Deut. 32:47 to live according to my will or purpose for your life. Similarly, Jesus said “… My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.” John 4:34 The choice of God often seems challenging and burdensome to people, but it is made possible and credible through Christ.

God clearly stated that you have a choice of life or death. But He recommends that you choose life. Joshua and Jesus made similar calls for a clear choice. Joshua said, “choose you this day whom you will serve;” Idols or the LORD. Joshua 24:15” Jesus also offered life and death – “51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live forever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.” John 6:51 Because of this abandoned Jesus remaining only his twelve disciples, they he asked them “Will you also go away? “John 6:67 They answered Him “…we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.” John 6:69 Just as God said “choose life” now He says Choose Christ. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 The Lord Jesus is the life which God advised us to choose.

Today I am introducing a series derived from out text “choose life”. You can see here how gracious our God is. He treats us like children with care and perfect love, He never tramples upon your will because He made you after His own image. Instead, He puts before you, death and life but encourage you to choose Life. The human life has been victim of death since Adam. In this discussion we focus on the choice of life and warnings about the disruptive nature of death. When Jesus said…, Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and preach the kingdom of God.” Luke 9:60 He was not referring to corpse in the graveyard, but to everyone who … lays up treasure for himself and is not rich toward God. Luke 12:21 Or those who are alive only for the pleasures of this world, but are dead to the way, the truth and life of God.

When you hear “Cut down” It sounds and feels like a hard judgment. No one likes to be judged or condemned, but judgment, especially by God himself is inevitable. For “… it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment, Hebrews 9:27 The priority of Jesus in this chapter is to preserve the relationship between the good tree and its branches. Instead of judging it, He cleanses and cares, so that it continually bears good fruits and much fruit. As you know, a good tree “cannot” bear bad fruit, you only get corrupt fruits from bad tree. He said. “Every good tree bears good fruit and a good tree cannot bear bad fruit”. Do people pick grapes from thorns, or figs from thistles? The answer is no. Good fruit, therefore, is the product of good tree. Jesus is not talking about false prophets alone, He said, by their fruits you shall know them. Even Jesus was known by His own good fruits – He went about doing good. Matt. 14:33 And after Jesus left the earth, believers we called Christians because of the fruits they exhibited.
